Founded and Led by Mr. Jerry Wong Since 1994

Our Leadership

JWE Premier Engineering was founded by Mr. Jerry Wong in 1994 with a specific focus on aluminium and glass engineering. The company has grown from that foundation into a specialist engineering firm with in-house fabrication, a Malaysia-wide client base, and landmark projects across the country.

30 Years of Technical Leadership in One Organisation

JWE Premier Engineering was founded in 1994 by Mr. Jerry Wong with a clear purpose: to build a specialist aluminium and glass engineering firm with its own fabrication capability, its own engineering depth, and a commitment to delivery quality that would earn the confidence of architects, developers, and contractors who needed a specialist they could trust. That purpose has not changed in 30 years. What has changed is the scale of the projects JWE has earned the right to execute — from early commercial projects in Kuala Lumpur to landmark installations like Toppen Shopping Centre (20,000 sq ft glass railing) and KLCC Lot 91 (40-floor smart mirror wall).

The accumulated technical knowledge of 30 years of specialist glass and aluminium work is the most valuable asset JWE brings to any project. That knowledge exists in the organisation's collective experience: what glass specifications perform in Malaysia's tropical climate, which fixing systems fail under the thermal cycling and vibration that commercial buildings experience, how to diagnose a leak that appears at one location but enters from another, and how to sequence an installation programme in a shopping mall that cannot close for construction. This knowledge is not documented in a manual — it is the reason clients return to JWE for project after project, and the reason franchise chains have appointed JWE as their engineering provider rather than tendering each project separately.

Mr. Jerry Wong

Founder & Managing Director

Mr. Jerry Wong founded JWE Premier Engineering in 1994 and has led the company's technical and commercial development for 30 years. Under his leadership, JWE has grown from a KL-based contractor into a specialist engineering firm with a Malaysia-wide client base, in-house fabrication capability, and a project reference portfolio that includes some of the most significant glass and aluminium installations in the country. Mr. Wong is directly involved in the technical specification of major projects and in the client relationships that have sustained JWE's appointed provider status with major franchise chains and commercial property managers.

How the Team Is Structured

Technical Specification

Senior technical staff manage glass and aluminium specification for projects — selecting the correct glass type, interlayer, fixing system, and hardware for each application. Specification decisions are made from engineering knowledge, not catalogue selection.

Project Management

Project managers coordinate between clients, the fabrication facility, and installation teams — managing programme, quality, and site logistics. All major projects have a named project manager as the client's primary contact from order to handover.

Installation Teams

Trained installation teams execute site works for glass and aluminium installation and maintenance. Teams are specialised by work type — glass railing installation teams, window installation teams, glass maintenance teams — not generalist labour that is rotated across all work types without specialisation.
