JWE operates its own fabrication facility. When you place an order, we cut, process, and fabricate in-house — not through a chain of intermediaries. This gives us four advantages over trading companies that resell from third-party fabricators: Speed (we control the production schedule, not a supplier's queue); Cost (no distributor margin between fabricator and installation); Accountability (one company is responsible from design through installation — there is no finger-pointing between fabricator and installer when something needs to be adjusted); and Flexibility (non-standard sizes, last-minute dimension changes, and custom specifications are handled internally, not rejected because they do not fit a supplier's standard product range).
2. 30+ Years of Specialist Focus — Not General Contracting
JWE was founded in 1994 with a specific focus on aluminium and glass. We have never expanded into general contracting, mechanical engineering, or other trades outside our specialism. This focus means that our engineering knowledge of glass specification, aluminium system design, and installation methodology is deeper than that of a general contractor who occasionally installs glass and aluminium as part of a broader scope. These are contractual commitments with named response windows, not verbal assurances.
