A frameless shower screen defines the quality of a bathroom in the way no other element does. The transparency and cleanliness of a well-fitted frameless enclosure in 10mm or 12mm tempered glass is immediately legible as premium — it is the detail that distinguishes a developer-grade bathroom from a luxury one. But a frameless shower screen is also one of the most technically demanding bathroom installations: bathroom walls are rarely perfectly plumb, floor-to-ceiling heights vary unit-to-unit in every condominium project, and hardware selection determines whether the hinges survive a humid shower environment for years or begin rusting within months.
JWE has completed shower screen installations at two landmark scale projects: KLCC Star Residence (960 shower screens) and Bintulu Seaview Court (200 shower screens). This project-scale experience directly benefits single-unit bespoke installations: our measuring protocols identify out-of-plumb walls before fabrication, our glass is sized with the tolerances needed for magnetic water seals to function correctly, and we exclusively use SS304 or SS316 stainless steel hardware that does not rust inside shower enclosures — not the zinc-alloy fittings used in budget installations that pit and seize within 2–3 years.
10mm & 12mm Tempered Glass
Fully tempered safety glass. If impacted and broken, it fractures into small blunt-edged granules rather than large sharp shards — the mandatory safety specification for shower enclosures. 12mm provides a more substantial, premium feel for luxury bathrooms.
SS304/SS316 Hardware Only
We exclusively use SS304 stainless hinges and brackets for standard installations, and SS316 marine-grade stainless for coastal properties. Zinc-alloy or chrome-plated hardware pits and seizes in humid shower environments within 2–3 years — we do not use it.
Precision Measuring & Sealing
Our measuring protocol identifies wall deviations before fabrication, allowing glass dimensions and hinge positions to compensate. Ultra-slim magnetic water seals function correctly only when glass is sized with proper tolerances — our standard practice on every installation.
